WHAT IS FIRST FRIDAY?
The First Friday art crawl is a free self-guided tour of Downtown Peterborough galleries, studios, shops, and cafés that takes place on the first Friday of every month, between the hours of 6pm-11pm*
The crawl is unique with new artists and shows every month - you will never experience the same First Friday twice.

WHO CAN FIRST FRIDAY?
There are 3 ways to participate in the First Friday fun!
As an Artist
You bring your creativity to show off! Painters, poets, photographer, makers, artists of all disciplines big and small. Open your studio doors or pop up in a downtown business
As a Host
The artists need a place to pop up! Artists can open their own studio doors, or if you're a local business, you can host an artist** (or multiple!) in your space and keep your doors open late**.
*First Friday is not responsible for pairing hosts + artists, we encourage you to engage with your community and make some connections. Ptbo is full of creative talent! **note for businesses - you are only permitted to submit for First Friday if you are hosting an artist - businesses simply staying open late will not be featured.
As a Crawler
Head downtown, and join in the First Friday fun! Completely free and completely self guided, you can follow our crawl map (updated every month) or just wander to where your heart takes you!

How to apply for FIRST FRIDAY
Artists or their hosts can submit their show through our monthly submission form. Only one submission is needed.
*note, First Friday is not responsible for pairing artists + hosts, please coordinate your own event before submission*
