Plan Your Crawl
Everything you need to know for your night Downtown
Yes! We generally encourage the events to have minimal barriers for artists and community members.
Yes! While First Friday doesn't cater specifically to children, it is meant to be inclusive to all members of our community. We encourage 19+ bar venues and events with sensitive content to market it as such, but please check with individual venues directly if you have concerns.
We strive to make the event as accessible and inclusive as possible. While not all venues or artists can control the accessibility of their locations, over half of the consistent venues are accessible every month! We do our best to accurately list the accessible locations on our monthly event map.
No! First Friday takes pride in not being gatekeepers to the arts community, and encouraging all ages and experience levels to participate in and enjoy our events.
Our volunteer committee doesn't curate the events, as much as supports and promotes the event. To participate as an artist, reach out to other artists, studios, or venues to arrange a FF show yourself, and add the details of your show to our Submit page in the weeks leading up to your event.
Reach out to any local artist and ask them to do a FF show with you! Either of you can use our Submit page to ensure your show is added to our list for the month of your event. Alternatively, tag us in an open call on social media looking for artists, and we will try our best to share!
Yes! Historically, the downtown core is typically the main hot spot for the majority of the event happenings, but we do sometimes get events signed up that are outside the downtown borders. Venues may be less busy outside the main walkable areas, but it is always welcomed!
